OVERVIEW
Washington University in St. Louis needed to modernize their PreHealth communication system to better serve over 16,000 students from more than 110 countries who rely on effective advising support for medical and health professional school preparation.
CHALLENGE
The university's existing PreHealth system was outdated and inefficient, creating barriers to effective student advising. The fragmented approach lacked centralized task management, secure document sharing capabilities, and dynamic reporting tools, resulting in thousands of hours of manual effort and suboptimal student outcomes in the competitive medical school admissions process.
SOLUTION
Through close collaboration with the PreHealth advising team, we designed and developed a robust web application that serves as a centralized digital platform combining task management, knowledge repository, and advising tools. The solution automated outdated workflows, enabled secure document sharing and communication, and provided dynamic reporting capabilities, creating a standardized, scalable platform that enhanced advising quality, eliminated thousands of hours of manual work, and better prepared students for medical and health professional school admissions.
