OVERVIEW

Catherine Cares, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, partnered with Urban Chestnut Brewing Company to create Reine Liebe (Pure Love), a seasonal beer that generates fundraising proceeds for their charitable mission, and needed packaging design to expand from tap-only sales to retail shelves.

CHALLENGE

The founders needed a can design that would successfully marry two distinct brand identities—Catherine Cares' non-profit mission and Urban Chestnut's established brewing brand—while authentically communicating the "Pure Love" concept behind the beer. The packaging had to appeal to retail consumers unfamiliar with the partnership while honoring both organizations' values and maintaining shelf presence in a competitive beer market.

SOLUTION

I designed a can that seamlessly integrated both brand identities while capturing the essence of "Pure Love" and the charitable partnership behind the beer. The design balanced the non-profit's mission-driven messaging with Urban Chestnut's brewing heritage, creating packaging that would resonate with retail customers and effectively communicate the beer's meaningful purpose, ultimately supporting Catherine Cares' fundraising goals through expanded market reach.
